Being a world explorer has taken me to over 100 countries, often solo, often from anything familiar, deep into remote and extreme landscapes. From the very beginning, what fueled me wasn’t just the adventure—though the thrill of pushing myself physically and mentally has always called to me—it was something even stronger: an intense, almost relentless curiosity about the world and the people who live in it. I’ve always been driven to understand what shapes us, what we long for, what we fear, and what we share across cultures and borders.

That same curiosity runs through every part of my life. It’s what drew me to theatre, where stepping into another character’s life is an act of empathy and exploration. It’s what made me an avid reader, hungry to lose myself in other voices, other worlds, other ways of being. Whether I’m learning a new role, turning the pages of a story, or stepping into a remote village halfway around the world, it’s all part of the same drive: a need to witness the human experience in all its beauty, complexity, and contradiction.

But it’s not only people I seek to connect with—it’s the natural world, too. Standing alone in a wide desert, hiking deep into the Arctic tundra, or sitting quietly beside a mountain lake, I feel the same pull toward understanding and belonging. Nature has a way of stripping life down to its essentials, reminding me of the raw, powerful forces that shape not just landscapes, but our own lives as well. Being out in the wild challenges me, humbles me, and grounds me in ways that words rarely can.

Exploration has deepened that search in ways I never could have imagined. It’s taught me that connection doesn't always need words, and understanding doesn’t always come neatly. Sometimes it’s a glance, a gesture, a shared struggle, a laugh in a place where neither of you speaks the other’s language. Sometimes it’s a sunrise over an empty plain, or the sound of the wind carving through cliffs, reminding me that I am just a small part of something much bigger. These moments have shown me that while the world is vast and wildly diverse, the core of who we are—the hopes, fears, loves, and dreams that move us—runs like a thread through every place, every person, and every wild, beautiful corner of the earth. And it’s that thread that keeps pulling me forward, always curious, always searching, always ready for the next story.
