Outdoor Adventure Guide
Over the course of my career, I have built a deep and varied background in outdoor leadership and guiding. I began as a licensed sea kayaking guide through the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, navigating rugged coastlines and open waters. I went on to secure my U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License (50-ton certification), which opened the door to a wide range of maritime work. I have also worked as a whitewater rafting guide, steering guests through fast-moving rivers and unpredictable rapids. My passion for teaching and adventure extended into academia, where I served as an adjunct instructor for the Indiana University Outdoor Adventures program, helping train the next generation of outdoor leaders. This extensive field experience ultimately led to being hired as a guide and naturalist with National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions, where I now help others discover some of the wildest corners of the planet.
